First Dip in the Pool

We have been living at my mom's house for about 3 weeks now and we have failed to find time to get into the wonderfully refreshing pool in the backyard. I have been so anxious to get Annabelle in the pool, and Monday was the day we were able to do it! Here are some pics from the fun we had!

What am I supposed to do in here?

Now I am having fun!

Mommy-what are you doing to me?

Annabelle's Pre-Water Pics

Before we took our first dip in the pool-and was really making Italo and I laugh with her funny new smile and her "poses". She is such a joy--even when we are not with her, we find ourselves laughing about something she did this morning or the night before. It is so amazing to see her personality come through :)

Happy Father's Day Pics

On the Tuesday before Father's Day, I took off of work and we had a multi generation father's day photo party. I wanted to get Italo an updated "Daddy's Girls" picture for his office and my mom wanted to give her dad a 4 generation picture of the ladies that my Granddaddy was responsible for. I loved the 4 generation pics and I am so blessed to have my wonderful Granny Jean around to love on Annabelle!

Water Baby

Since the first time I gave Annabelle a bath, I have tried to make her like the water. I LOVED the water when I was little-and spent almost all of my summers at the public pool enjoying the water with my friends. When I was 13, my Mom and Dad built a pool for me and I proceeded to bake myself by it for hours on end every weekend! Of course, it worries my Grandmother to no end that I baked my skin so much as a teenager, but I loved it! No, when I give Annabelle a bath, instead of trying to avoid getting her face wet, I pour water all over it and make her think she is having the BEST Time Ever!!! I think the months of pure torture have paid off-becasue it seems that Annabelle likes the water too! YAY!!!!

Annabelle Still Loves her Babies!

Since we are living with my Mom right now, there are lots of new babies for Annabelle to play with. She certainly loves them ALL a lot and has so much fun padding them and holding them. Today she got into her rocker and rocked and played with a baby for a while. It was so amazing to see the way she was with the baby. Can't help to allow my mind to fast forward and imagine her with her own baby---I am sure it will come faster than I can ever imagine! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Fun Play Date with Avery

Annabelle and I met Andi and Avery for a play date at Collin Creek Mall on Saturday. It was great to see the girls interact and to catch upw thi Andi. However, as Mom's, we had to get used to each conversation being interuppted by-Where did Annabelle go?--But we made do and had a nice time!

Avery is such a beauitful girl and I have never seen a baby interact and pose with the camera so much--as you can tell-Annabelle does not care much for smiling for pictures-but Avery, on the other hand-always has a smile to share! If you want to see more of her beauitful smiles-be sure to check out Andi's blog to the right-The Stubblefields.

Annabelle tried to get Avery to walk with her, but was not successful :)

But, she had fun Crusin around everything none the less. At one point, I found her walking around and "talking" to all of the mommies and daddies on the benches. She certaintly never met a stranger!

Friends

Do you remember your first friend? I would say that my very first friend was my cousin, Karen. We lived down the street from each other and used to love to spend the night with each other, place dress up, play with our dolls and put make-up on. Now, I am so grateful for all of the wonderful friendships I have in my life, and it makes me wonder what makes people become friends???
I have discovered that my daughter is quite an opinionated little girl and has not mastered the idea of sharing or playing WITH kids quite yet, but from time to time, she will watch other children play and enjoy their company. Until she decides to give some love pads and starts beating on her friends.... But, I pray daily that she will develop strong, deep relationships with friends in the years to come.
Here are some pictures of her playing with some of her friends:

Family Photos

This past weekend, my family got together for some family photos. I think Family Photos are so funny, because we try to get all beautified and put together and look perfect----but does that really represent the true "picture" of ANY family??? Of course not! But, none the less, as we take the pictures and then look at the results, we reject certain pictures because some one had an odd look on their face, others because so one is not looking, others because someone is throwing a temper tantrum and does not want to cooperate. But, the rejects are probably the ones that are the best representation of the family. However, those are the ones that get deleted or put into a folder on the computer and never seen again. Funny how we like to stuff "imperfect" things away and act like they do not exist and put in frames the idea of perfection that we all want to have.

However, I will show share the "good" pictures that were captured yesterday, all the while knowing all the conversations, complaining and heat exhaustion that went into each pose :)
